Our canvas winter tents can withstand extreme weather conditions.
If you plan on leaving your tent up during the winter it is recommended you have rafters every 2 feet to handle snow loads. Houses have rafters every 2 feet for snow loads also.
Fly is strongly recommended. Snow and water runs off the smooth poly surface much better than a canvas roof.
Some of my customers stack hay bales along the outside wall for insulation and to blunt any strong winds.
A fire proof mat under the stove is recommended for any canvas winter tent. A fire proof heat shield can be tied to the wall also for extra fire protection.

FIRE RESISTANT CANVAS: Meets CPAI 84 fire retardant code. If a tent is not specifically treated for fire resistance it will burn quickly. Fire Resistant canvas will only burn when there is a flame source present on the canvas. When you remove the flame source the wall tent will stop burning. However, there is no wall tent made that will not burn.
